SUFOR Easter Sky Watch

We are pleased to announce that the second Easter sky watch will be on the 21st of March at Fox Hill near Liddington. This can be a tricky location to get to, so this year we have provided a map of the area to aid you. The watch will begin at 9pm.

Some hints and tips:

Please make sure you are wearing appropriate clothing. Warm clothes, boots, scarves and an umbrella are recommended as we are at the mercy of the spring weather on the hill. A torch, binoculars, cameras and notepads are also recommended.

Finally, bring something hot to drink and perhaps some snacks.

(From Swindon) (A419 or M4 Junction 15):

Follow the B4192 through Liddington until you cross over the motorway bridge. Take the first left signposted Hinton Prava & Bishopstone. Follow the road until you come to the Shepherds Rest Pub on a cross roads. Carry straight on over the cross roads. Fox Hill car park is a small hidden turning on your right. A track leads from the car park up to the base of the hill.

If you don't fancy the track road, instead of turning right, carry on for a short distance and take the first right. This will lead you to the same location.

Fox Hill is the large mound situated through a small field.
