M.o.D reports from 2008

The Ministry of Defence has just released a report containing all the sightings that were reported to them in 2008. The report which contains almost three hundred entries in summary format can be downloaded here. Earlier listings from 1996-2007 can be downloaded here.

On closer inspection of the report there were four sightings in Wiltshire.

On page one is a report from Ashton Keynes describing a fleet of orange glowing lights. We did not investigate this one, but it appears a most likely case of lanterns.

Page six of the report lists a sighting of a triangle near Wroughton. This case was investigated by SUFOR and can be read in the case study SUF-CSE-010.

Page twelve of the report lists a sighting of pink lights in the sky near calne. This was investigated under case SUF-CSE-023 although the sighting quoted appears to be the second sighting which was also reported in UFO Magazine. We wrote to the nearby military as flares were suspected for this sighting, but never received a response.

Page sixteen lists a golden orb sighting near Devizes. SUFOR did not get to investigate this report however.
